1967 created the General Staple with the new Splice system a better solution, in order to connect wires with other components. At the same time it replaced the hand soldering. The company thereupon renamed in the more appropriate name AUTOSPLICE. AUTOSPLICE sold this system for many applications in different branches of industry.
When the Autosplice crimping system worked satisfactorily as very successful product, one advanced of far other patch cords and assembly systems innovative in the development: high-quality contact contacts and using systems developed from it.
The introduction to the European market began more than 25 years ago with the acquisition of agents for England, France, Italy and Germany.
The subsidiary AUTOSPLICE Europe GmbH was founded in Nuremberg in 1983. Only a few employees manufactured and distributed the reeled connectors successfully. Tabs, tape & reel contacts and splice machines were purchased from the parent company, now located in San Diego, USA. In the course of the following years the interconnection systems were developed and produced at the location in Nuremberg also for the European market until today. Further subsidiaries and manufacturing plants are based in Korea, Japan, China, Singapore, Brazil and Mexico.
Owing to the successful strategy of Autosplice Europe GmbH grew the number of employees and the company had to relocate to bigger premises. Since 1996 we are located in Langenzenn-Laubendorf. The expansion allows for large capacities in production and especially in research and development. Outstanding team spirit is the basis for the drawing board, creating insertion machines and fine-tune new products to fully meet the special requirements of our customers.
Beside these innovative and high-quality products Autosplice Europe GmbH offers also the service to equip complete devices for customers. Innovative - is the solder-free insertion technology, which does not require subsequent soldering the tabs and pins in Surface Mounted Technology. This will be reached by a particularly formed zone which is specified in the standard International Electronical Commission 60352-5.
Many of our projects go toward central electric power supply and safety device of all primary circuits in the vehicle. At present Autosplice works on projects with many considerable automotive manufacturers and suppliers.
70 % of our customers belong to the automotive industry, we also support the telecommunication- and electrical industry. Autosplice Europe GmbH gives more then 40 employees a creative job. A European-wide active sales and distributing organization of partner enterprises and a highly motivated sales team from Autosplice guarantee the close contact to our customers.
Autosplice Europe GmbH currently hold full accreditation by ISO/TS 16949:2002 and it is further our highest goal of obtaining with our products extreme customer satisfaction.
