Now you can mount an EMI/RF shield to a PCB without post soldering operations. The new Autosplice SMITTM-Shield
Clip is a cost-effective alternative to hand soldering. It's
miniaturized design allows for tape and reel packaging compatible with
standard high-speed placement equipment. You can place the SMiT Shield
clip anywhere on the PCB, eliminating the need for excess hole and
saving valuable PCB real estate. Equipped with four indepentdent spring
contacts the reliable SMiT Shield Clip allows for shield removal and
replacement for up to 15 times for rework and/or circuit tuning.
The SMiT Shield Clip needs no
additional wholes and allows to be mounted on top or bottom side of PCB and permits easy shield removal/replacement.
